Privacy promise
Last updated 13 September 2026
This is the long version of the promises on our front page. We have tried to write it in English rather than in legal, because a policy nobody can read protects nobody.
What we collect
Only three things, and only because the product cannot work without them.
- The photo of the drawing you upload, so we can paint it.
- A child's first name, only if you type one, and only so it can appear in the story. Never a surname, never an age, never a birthday.
- Your email address, if you order, so we have somewhere to send the finished files and a receipt.
We do not ask for your address unless you order something we have to post to you. We do not use advertising trackers, and we set no cookies at all.
We do count page visits, using Cloudflare Web Analytics. It is cookieless, it does not follow you to other websites, and it cannot identify you. We mention it because “no cookies” and “no analytics” are different claims, and only the first one is true.
How long we keep it
The uploaded photo is deleted thirty days after your order is complete. If you only used the free preview and never ordered, it is deleted within seven days. The finished portrait and book stay available to you, and you can ask us to delete those too.
Who else touches your data
We are a small studio and we use other companies to do things we cannot do ourselves. Each one only receives what it needs:
- Anthropic processes the drawing to describe it and write the story.
- Our image generation provider receives the written description and produces the painting.
- Stripe handles payment. We never see or store your card details.
- Our hosting and email providers deliver the site and your files.
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. We do not put it on a mailing list you did not ask to join.
Your child's drawings are not training data
We do not use your child's artwork to train any model, and we do not permit our providers to retain it for that purpose. If that ever changed we would say so on this page before it happened, not after.
Children
This service is sold to adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children, and nothing here is marketed to them. A child's first name is optional and is used only inside the story you receive. If you believe a child has given us information without you, write to [email protected] and we will delete it.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Depending on where you live you may also have the right to object to processing or to lodge a complaint with a regulator. We will not charge you for any of this and we will not make it difficult.
One email does all of it: [email protected]. We answer within five working days.
Changes
If we change this page we will update the date at the top. If a change materially affects what happens to your data, we will email anyone who has ordered from us.
